Rachel Gordon serves as the primary media and marketing contact for notMYkid. As the National Manager of Marketing and Community Relations Rachel works to create awareness of Project 7th Grade and all notMYkid programs nationwide. She works with members of the media to educate parents, teachers and community leaders about the dangers of substance abuse and help families to establish a proactive prevention program in their own homes.

Prior to joining notMYkid Ms. Gordon was the Sales Director for the Arizona Renaissance Festival where she implemented ecommerce programs, revamped their wedding program and worked tirelessly to organize one of the largest special events in the state of Arizona. She was also the Marketing Coordinator for Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Mesa, AZ.

Ms. Gordon grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she graduated from high school. She moved to Arizona in 1995 to attend Arizona State University where she earned BA in broadcasting from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University. While at ASU Ms. Gordon wrote a column for State Press, worked as a news reporter for KASR 1260AM and Newswatch Student television. Ms. Gordon interned with KCRG TV9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and KFYI 550AM in Phoenix during her college years. Today she writes freelance for magazines in Phoenix and loves to travel, always finding an excuse to escape on yet another trip.
